Great little theatre. Well worth a visit. Varied and entertaining shows.

Brilliant little theatre. Seating nicely placed with plenty of legroom. There are 2 box’s which are usually the same price as the circle and holds about 6 people in each one, so great for family or friends to sit together. There is an inhouse café and bar which is open during the day and evenings if there is a performance. This theatre is one of 13 designed by david Fisher and build around East Anglia. I don’t know if any more are still standing. This one was first opened in 1828. You will see many historic items on display recovered during restorations and the orriginal (reconstructed) pit in the atmospheris cellar. There is an unusually broad programme of arts events and reasonable prices and consessions with tickets easily booked on line. The theatre is also used as a cinema.
