While I have been coming to this pub intermittently over the last 10 years– it used to be a bit of an old mans boozer– very local. Since it has been taken over it has improved so much! It is a family friendly well run pub with reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. If you are in the area and want good pub food with quality ales– I recommend a visit!

If you get to the Black Bull at 12 noon you’re in with a chance of getting a table, but leave it too late and you’re in for a wait! The food is really great, and if you’re not all that hungry you can choose from one of the half portions available. Even the half portions are decent and the prices are favourable too.

A brilliant pub with food, pub of the year 2012 excellent food perfect service very pleasant staff nothing to much trouble please book to avoid disappointment.
