Wow shopping madness wasn’t this busy over Christmas. Maybe people shopping last minute for new years eve. Great vibe everyone in high spirits.

The Rock, Bury or ‘New Bury’ as some call the Rock, is a large 300 million development. Pedestrianized with £70k flats towering above shops a plenty such as Debs, M&S, Next, Costa, Subway; Vue Cinema, AMF bowling, Nandos etc. Free car parking after 6 pm(multi-story). St. Johns Gardens are a nice place to sit if it is warm. And there is a right good 99p shop there too. Love the place. Tai food opposite the gardens. Heaps of bike racks used as extra ram-raid stoppers near the clubs.

I have to seriously downgrade The Rock, in my last review, it seemed that I had run out of superlatives to describe the car park, but try visiting at 7pm on a weekday night, 15 minutes before your film, they was a large amount of spaces and at this time it was free to park, good so far but getting out of the car park was a nightmare, I got to park right next to one of the exits and found out the lift was out of bounds hence, I had to get back in the car and drive round to the South Street exit(or something like that), luckily this was nearer to the cinema however getting to the lift was a nightmare! You had to go through one set of doors for the stairs and another for the lift, they could of defiantly put them nearer hence they have made it hard, a lift is for someone who struggles with their mobility so they have put it in the wrong position there. Bury The Rock is a modern, outdoor shopping centre however you can’t really go when it is raining, normally shopping is something you do in the rain but you can’t here with it being an outdoor shopping centre! They is a good amount of shops here, restaurants like Pizza Express, Nandos, Frankie and Bennies and Subway and coffee shops such as Costa. I do feel Starbucks should have a branch in the central area of Bury rather than in the Village to bring in more customers visiting The Rock, I cant rate The Rock down for not having a Starbucks, with that being the sole reason because that is Starbucks’ decision. Shops in The Rock include GAME, JD, Thomas Cook, Phones4U(Before going into Administration so this could become a Vodafone in the near future), Primark, LUSH and Barclays Bank. This isn’t as good as your average shopping centre like The Manchester Arndale, The Rock was really exciting when it was built but now, I don’t get the same buzz I used to so I have to downgrade to 2 stars.
