There is not much people don’t know about Harvesters. They have a standard menu based around simple foods such as steaks, grilled chicken and fish. You get freedom of the salad bar with any main and food is reliable in quality without being considered great. Fine value for money. This particular one has a smaller then capacity car park and is popular with young families. Staff are friendly, the split levels offer some character, but it is a bit noisy at peak times.

Average and typical Harvester in bushey heath with parking. Perfect for families and good value. Try the early bird menu if you prefer a quieter meal and save money. nice atmosphere and a good selection of beer.

Poor service, very poor food including a very badly stocked salad bar complete with brown lettuce. Gruby dinning area, needs a refurb in many areas

A bog standard Harvester. You can’t book tables which in one sense is a good thing but on a busy night means you can wait a while for a table. Food quality isn’t bad, a bonus being the salad cart you can use when buying a main meal. They have discounted meals during the day(not weekends) and revel in being able to have a more expensive steak for not as expensive as it should be! I believe they give you a third discount. If your passing and your hungry, pop in. I wouldn’t make a special visit there.

Be sure to show up before 7 to enjoy the huge discount on meals. They used to have a large lounge/lobby area around the bar, but a good portion of this has now been converted to extra seating to accommodate the masses. Service and food have never been spectacular, but the atmosphere is easy going and the price is right for families. There are a couple levels of seating in the main room which helps to break it down into smaller areas that feel more private for your group. Most main courses(steak for under 10 pounds) come with the salad buffet which also includes breads and soups. Unless I am at a really upscale restaurant where I expect to receive superior food, I really enjoy the opportunity to put together my own plate of salad and bread.
