Cheffins

I am hard pressed to even give them 1 star. I lived in a flat managed by Cheffins for two years. In the course of that time, I had a multiple maintenance issues. They sent a maintenance man (who was very friendly) out to repair some, but not all of the issues. The broken shower and non functional heating were fixed, but my roof was left leaking for the entire tenancy.
Upon move out, I reminded them of the damage done by the leaking roof and broken shower, but received no response. They then had the nerve to tell me that they were «disappointed» that there was damage! I’m more disappointed that they ignored repeated attempts to have something done.
The landlord has agreed to return my deposit, but Cheffins has failed for two months now to initiate the transfer to return my money. It is now to the point that the TDS will be involved as well as a representative from the Housing Office on RAF Lakenheath.
If you have a choice, run FAR away from any property managed by them. I previously rented with Haart and it was a much more agreeable experience. Caveat emptor!
