Service with a smile, a handshake, a hug and sometimes a kiss! There are curry houses and then there are curry houses. There are curry restaurants and then there are curry restaurants. There are places that sell food and then there’s Pipasha. Forget your No 22s and Loch Fynes, your Hotel Du Vins and your Cambridge Blues. Pipasha is the place to start your Friday nights, with a neverending array of curries, drinks refilled without a word, and service that borders on the magical. There’s no single standout dish, almost everything has its fan. I’ve only ever been with friends and we share dishes between us, with an assortment of naans, rice and vegetable sides, and I’ve never been disappointed. But be warned: Don’t expect to get a table on a Friday if you just turn up. Make sure you book, again and again.

As I’m sure you’ll see from my other reviews– I love a curry! Called in here a few times after trying to force myself to walk past the delicious smells. Very good quality food if not quite hot enough for me on some of the dishes. Their naans are some of the best I’ve ever had. Not the cheapest place in the world(equally, not stupidly expensive) so probably best reserved as the occasional, well earned treat.

The best indian restaurant in Cambridge! I have tried many Induian restaurants in Cambridge but Pipashas is still the best in my eyes. I have eaten in house and had take away. All the staff are very friendly and take the time to get to know you. The meat is good quality and the portions are a good size. Although there are cheaper take aways I really think this one is the best and well worth the money. There is the normal dishes you would expect — my recommendation is the Madras if you like it hot!

I was a bit dubious about trying another indian restaurant as I tend to stick to what I know but when my friend took me here I was not disappointed at all! The waiters are extremely friendly and the food is wonderful so much so in fact it became my favourite in Cambridge. I usually tend to go for the Lamb Bhuna which they do perfectly! But I think it was on my third or fourth visit I decided I wanted something different but not sure what, the waiter — who by now knew me — asked what kind of things I liked, hot or medium, creamy or dry etc and went away and made up a completely new dish just for me!!! How wonderful!!! A truly wonderful evening you are bound to have and you will go away feeling very satisfied and without having burned a hole in your pocket!

Pipasha is one my favourite Indian Restaurants. I love it there as they never rush you to finish your meal and they always remember you the next time you go in. I have eaten in the restaurant and had takeaway many times and have never had a bad meal. I always have their creamy chicken Korma with Mushroom Pilau rice its about 8 pounds its ideal for curry beginners as its really mild and its really yummy. Also the good thing about Pipasha is they also make up curry dishes that are not always on the menu you just need to ask them so with their recommendations you get to try things that you wouldn’t normally have. It does get really busy on weekends so I would advise you to book also as its opposite Cambridge United I can imagine after the game its pretty packed.
