We’ve just moved to the area and are here for a year without a car, so being able to walk to a shop with such variety and extremely reasonable prices is wonderful! My husband was able to find whole oats here(called Jumbo Oats) which he couldn’t find in any of the major grocery stores. The meat prices are extremely good especially for being so fresh and local, and the frozen meats are a super bargain! We bought some just-picked seasonal strawberries yesterday and they were amazingly delicious. We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It’s perfect for those«What are we going to have for dinner» afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. We are definite fans and plan to shop here routinely while we’re in town.

Love love love. Not a lot in term of grocery in this area, so then farm shop is a blessing to me. Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They’ll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

We won’t buy our meat or eggs anywhere else. Ben and Vicky are always welcoming and can tell you anything you want to know about the produce. They also take special orders, so if there’s a cut of meat you want that you can’t see — just ask them and they’ll get it in for you. Much less expensive that you might expect, especially the meat. Whilst the meat doesn’t have official organic certification, Ben and Vicky will gladly tell you how the animals are raised and what they do and don’t feed them(they even display the animals’ happy snaps on their wall!). A good selection of flours, nuts, spices and juices, but also very handy for things like dried yeast, stock, grains and chocolate gifts. Check the back freezer room for ice-cream, berries, Yorkshire puddings, puff pastry, croissants and more.

Really nice shop, packed out with lots of local produce and not just limited to food I thought would be in a farm shop. I live so close by but haven’t been as thought it would be fairly expensive(and well some organic stuff is) though the staple foods — I bought eggs, bacon and local jam — were cheaper than if I’d gone down to my local Co-op. Definately worth a visit.

Best food shop in the area, and competitive on price, too, especially for good quality meat. But the best thing about the place is Ben and Vicky, who are proper farmers and shopkeepers and know their stuff, as well as making you feel welcome. I’ve barely been to a supermarket since they opened, and I spend less! Just brilliant.
