Nice Indian/Bangladeshi establishment. Would have liked it more if they had one or two authentic Bengali dishes on the menu. This is always something that I don’t understand. The only real Bangladeshi restaurant that still stands out for me is Kolapata in Whitechapel Road, London. Service was good, and the food was of good quality. But I still can’t get past the fact that there are so many of these restaurants in the UK where the restaurateurs come from such a rich Bengali culinary background, yet don’t seem to be willing to offer any of that for their clientèle!

Great food and personable wait service. Portions were a little smaller than we expected, but the food was very tasty. We would recommend the chicken tikka masala.

Great food. We stumbled across it randomly and we’re extremely satisfied! We tried the sizzling taj starter and the three dishes they highlighted on their menu. We enjoyed all of them and can honestly recommend them to anyone.

I have been to this restaurant several times and the service has always been excellent. Very friendly, fast, and giving free extra bites to eat as the chef is ‘experimenting’ in the kitchen. The food is really good, large portions, and flavorsome. The Taj doesn’t serve booze but allows you to bring your own for free, making it a lot cheaper! I think this is great. I couldn’t believe the price, so cheap, especially for Cambridge. I was, however, rather disappointed with the take-away service. I was excited to find out the Taj Tandoori delivers, and although still cheap, it was not a large portion and arrived slightly cold. A great place to eat in, but maybe not to take out!

This indian restaurant is located on the cherry hinton raod so very convienient for the leisure park however thats where the good points almost end. I first visited to collect a take away and the service was good, friendly and the restaurant looked very nice and was almost enticing me in, however the food didnt live up to expectations, So thinking i’d give it another go and a second chance i went for an evening meal sometime later. Its obviously a popular place as was very busy so i dont feel 100% sure that i recieved the typical service it is capable of providing. The sevrice is minimal but fast, the food is average and the choice of drinks limited however i know people that go every week and love it so maybe i was just unlucky… the best way to tell is to check it out for yourself.(the prices are good thats another plus)
