Great place to eat, always clean and tidy. Service is great, great location, buzzing atmosphere. An excellent place to have a coffee with friends.

Nice food and very nice hot chocolates. I like the ambience here, it’s very warm and welcoming. I’ve always found the staff the be friendly and the service to be quick.

Well, the gulb theatre at the university is really close from every-accommodation on campus. The room is well-equipped and the price is not expensive for a movie. But for anything else like presentation/show/it’s a bit expensive even if you’re a student. The café is also really good.

Great little cinema showing independent/foreign/‘arthouse’ films although it does show mainstream releases too. It gets them a little slower than other bigger cinemas but it’s worth it for such a nice venue — and the audiences are usually more well behaved too ;) The café/bar at the venue is very well priced and you can take an alcoholic drink or coffee into the cinema with you. If you’re going to go more than 6 times in a year it’s well worth joining the cineclub which offers tickets for £2 less than the usual price and also offers free screenings and other offers. The only downside is that it’s on campus rather than in town and without a car you’re reliant on buses — although a taxi from westgate is about £5/6. It’s worth it for the gorgeous views of the city from the University though!

This is located on the University of Kent campus about 5 minutes from the town centre, 10 on a busy day or during rush hour. Often full of both students and citizens alike, it’s a nice place to go to see a quality show or a comedian. In the past people such as Tim Minchin and Jimmy Carr have performed in this theatre, and have always packed it out so be sure to book your tickets well in advance. It’s well priced with a restaurant/café in the same building so worth a visit. The university has lovely views over the city at night.
