Excellent place for all ages, not too expensive and lots to see and do, great childrens playground and lots of fun and interesting animals, lovely gift shop that doesn’t rip off its customers as much as some!

This is a great place to bring the children. Play ground and refreshments available.

Ancient woodland is the setting for this great day out. The enclosures for the animals are massive, providing them with as natural a habitat as they could wish for. The site is very large because of this, so bring a stroller for little ones and be prepared for a sit down half way round at the picnic tables provided. The animals there include wolves, wild ponies, wild boar, deer, badgers and foxes. The café is really good value, and the food is really tasty with lots of choice. A small adventure playground at the end of the trail which leads in a circle back to the café is the perfect way to end the day, as the kids always find a bit more energy for a run round and you can grab a coffee before returning home and drink it while you watch them being scary! Educational and interesting, with lots of talks throughout the day.
