Birchgrove Surgery

Birchgrove Surgery was first established in the 1920’s. The Practice is a Partnership of 5 GP’s — Dr Jonathan Prichard, Dr Angus Maclean, Dr Jacqueline Graham, Dr Elizabeth Arnold and Dr Jeremy Davies. The Practice also has 4 Practice Nurses and other visiting clinical staff.
The Practice provides additional services to registered patients and temporary residents:

* Contraceptive services
* Vaccinations and immunisations
* Childhood vaccinations and immunisations
* Child health surveillance
* Maternity medical services
* Minor surgery
The Practice also provides specialised clinics and services:
* Asthma clinic
* Diabetic clinic
* Coronary Heart Disease Clinic
* Baby clinic
* Cryosurgery
* Holiday vaccinations — the Practice Nurses provide advice, and a range of holiday vaccinations.
* Carers — Gaynor Jones, the Senior Receptionist, can provide information and advice for carers
The main surgery moved to its present location in August 2005; they also run a branch surgery in Rhiwbina Clinic.
