This is one of my favourite places to be on Crwys Road. It feels very comfortable and homely, and the food is generous and good. I love having the Aroma fry-up for breakfast; it always hits the spot.

I had high expectations for this cosy café but I was dissappointed. Yes, there is a large menu but the quality is not great and it’s not that cheap either. When I ordered a vege breakfast I was told We have no glamorgan sausages so I’ll top it up with onion rings ok? Well that’s not ok is it, as if I didn’t care what I was eating as long as I got my quota of food! So I went for a spinach and feta omelette instead. I was pleased that it came with salad and onion rings, he must like them! but I think it’s inexcusable that the spinach was tinned not fresh. The service was far from friendly. He didn’t have the right change for me and said he would bring it over, he never did, knowing I suppose that I wouldn’t ask for 15p. But I thought that was rude and offhand. The ketchup is not Heinz.

I’ve been to Café Aroma a few times since I’ve been in Cathays. It’s a very nice, cosy café in the local area with a wide selection of food for breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly enough. I have absolutely no complaints about this café and would suggest a friend to go there based on my own experiences.

This café is based on Crwys road, in Cardiff’s city centre and it is the most ideal café to chill out with friends on and to have a quiet or a lively chat in. Or it is a perfect little café to just sit and think about life in, or to read a book or magazine in. It is entirely up to you… It is a small café, but it serves lovely food and drink and the staff service is quick and friendly. The prices are great and they are the most ideal prices considering the wonderful type of food and drinks that this café sells here. No wonder why it is called Café Aroma, because this café certainly seems to stand for it’s buildings relaxing atmosphere… The food and drinks are tastey too, but the café has been placed in a busy roads area. However, that is what can make it all the more relaxing, but the colours are rather dull here and there… aside of that it is a fine little café to chill out with friends in… I recommend this café to all…, especially to those people who live locally.

Café Aroma is an interesting little shop with some potential, in need of a renovation in places and dark inside. The«a» from the sign is still missing and I don’t think the owner cares. Undoubtedly the food is varied and enjoyable, but I think slightly overpriced in place for a coffee shop. When you pay £2.50 for a milkshake that isn’t that great it’s disappointing. The breakfasts are what really matter here, the full English is aptly renamed the Aroma breakfast as the smell is flavourful, I can practically eat that air.

There are so many cafés and take-aways in this area of town, there is some pretty hot competition for anyone starting out. Despite losing the ‘a’ from ‘Café’ on its sign, giving the place a slightly neglected look from the outside, luckily once you’re on the inside it is a pretty inviting little place, and seems to have won itself a loyal following. It’s also a popular breakfast spot with local students: ‘Aroma’s Breakfast’ is a full English with eggs, toast, sausage, tomato, mushroom and beans — but it doesn’t look too greasy. I haven’t tried it, but I have enjoyed their flavoured vanilla latte — and they do other varieties such as hazelnut, too, with muffins, cookies and waffles for a sweet accompaniment. Aroma’s is one of those decent local cafés where you can relax and while away a bit of time just sitting and enjoying a coffee or some cake.

Café Aroma is a great place to eat or just to sit and have coffee, living just around the corner I frequently enjoy breakfast here on the weekend, as do many other students in the area. It’s coffees are good, my favourite is a hazlenut latte, and there is a good range. The best thing about the place really is the size of the menu(and the meals) there is so much on offer whether you want lunch or breakfast and they do set meal deals too. Cakes and sweet things are also good here, chunky cookies and large muffins, fresh cakes and waffles are available. The only problem I would say is that for the price you pay the quality of food does sometimes feel a bit low, especially with the burgers, but it will fill you up and the staff are generally very friendly and efficient.

Yay! I’m a café fan, in general. And this little place is just another reason to wander round Cardiff-town. Such a sweet café, where you are made to feel so welcome. I think that it’s important that it’s such a small place because you feel so appreciated.(Oh, that makes me sound a little needy — like I need affirmation from my baristas…) There wasn’t a huge selection of cakes and pastries when I went in, but it was towards the end of the day so I feel that I might just have missed out. I definitely think that they’ll be good becausee the hot chocolate that I had was absolutely to die for. It was light and foamy and creamy and, oh, delicious! I sat in there for only a short time because we had to move on to get some shopping done but I really wish I’d been able to linger longer.

A sublime little café within a stone’s throw of my girlfriend’s house. Aroma delivers a vast range of coffees which are all beautifully presented in Starbuck-superior surroundings. I can particularly recommend the Aroma’s Breakfast, which is a traditional English with generous helpings of egg, toast, sausage, tomato, mushroom and beans — but without making you feel like you’ve ingested half of the North Sea Oil reserves. I’ve yet to make a real dent on the cakes and coffees, but I definitely spied some awe-inspiring cookie jars when we last visited. They also sell coca in glass bottles — pure class!
