I visited the salon this week for the first time as I had read some online comments and wanted to check it out for myself. I must say I was most impressed — from the initial friendly contact(and visit for skin test) right through to the final result. Karen talked with me at great length about the pros and cons of various options for my hair and we mutually agreed on one, which turned out to be a great decision! The cut is very precise and exactly what I wanted and the colour is also spot on. No one has ever suggested a «non-bleach kinder to hair» option to me before, but this is definitely the way forward for me now. The ambience in the salon is great — with all of the staff being very friendly. I am so glad that I chose this salon and will definitely be returning as I plan to be a regular client.

This salon is great, I have been many times before and will continue to . The staff are all great and they always seem to know what I want. I have many friends who go too and I would highly recommend them.

New Dimensions has just gained a little more competition along Whitchurch Road, since Viva opened its doors a couple of weeks ago. But I’m sure that they can deal with the heat being stepped up a little! They are a little more pricey than Viva(especially as Viva have some great introductory offers), but they have a solid local client base, and are unlikely to be too adversely affected. New Dimensions is able to distinguish itself both in terms of its look and the products it supports. It uses the Paul Mitchell hair care range that I’m definitely a fan of.(The Paul Mitchell Dry Wax has been a lifesaver for me on many an occasion… no matter how well my hair is styled, it always seems to defy gravity and shoots off in all directions with heart-stopping gay abandon… usually when I most need it to look its best! P M Dry Wax is one of the few products that has been able to tame it into looking half way decent!) I rate this salon for a number of reasons; first of which is that they really know what they are doing, but of equal importance, it’s a friendly comfortable salon that is a pleasure to visit.

Just so you know, I’ve put the website up on here because it’s in the middle of being set up. It is actually running yet but I thought I’d put it up now or I’d definitely forget to later. There is a 10% student discount here which is what makes it worth going to really. It’s not that the stylists are bad at all — plus they are all completely lovely — it’s just that I didn’t get that feeling of total happiness that I sometimes get after leaving a salon. I’d recommend it — especially to the students who live nearby but I probably wouldn’t rush to make another appointment.
