This is almost a junk shop, rather than a collection of antiques. Maybe I just have the wrong impression of what it means to go antique shopping, but I can’t completely rid myself of the image of 50 year olds going around stuffy shops to find bits of wood to fill their manor houses with.
Now &Then couldn’t be more different than that — and not just because sometimes the stuff looks like rubbish. The whole atmosphere in the shop is great. You almost feel as though you are treasure-​hunting.
I didn’t find anything that I wanted in there — but that was just personally for me. And it just means that I get to go back again to enjoy another good rummage.
