I’ve noticed that a few Unilocalers aren’t that impressed with Chinese Restaurants that also claim to offer an English menu, and I’m afraid I have to join their numbers.(Although I have to admit that I’m usually pretty amused that most of them list an assortment of omelets in the English section, and pretty much limit it to that. I believe that other restaurants, without the English food claims, refer to this section as FooYung! Omelets aren’t my thing, and so I ignore them anyway, whatever they are called!) There’s a couple of Chinese Restaurants on Whitchurch Road, and so if I opt to eat in, I will automatically go for the £12.00 all you can eat option at the ‘other’ restaurant. Take-aways are a little different. I like the food from here just as well, and will happily order a take-out from either. The Silver Palace, really doesn’t live up to its name in terms of appearance, but they make pretty good food. The service is always prompt, and the prices are competitive.

Sign outside said it is probably the best Chinese in Cardiff — their lack of conviction is worrying — but the food is reliably tasty — if neon coloured –no skimping on the MSG. The mixed hors d’heurves are good value for money and very tasty. Nice restaurant service — but better for takeaway.
