Food was 4 stars but prices are 3. Such a small serving for a wallop of a price! Make sure to go with friends to get a variety of food. Butter Chicken was delicious though. Serving staff polite, but often micro managed(things can get tense). Overall, I live so close that I’ll still go here, but not a top choice.

Spice Corner is one of the many businesses in this area that is definitely targeting the student population. But that’s not to say that they aren’t taking care of the locals too. Students get a 15% discount, but it doesn’t apply to the special offers that they run, like the Every Evening Special for £9.95. This is meant to be a five course, eat-in only meal deal, but where I come from rice on it’s own ain’t a meal in itself! That aside, it is a pretty good deal. It offers any starter with any main, plus rice, papad and nan bread. There’s a take-away option that is pretty similar, but costs £11.95, making it actually cheaper to eat in! They do a fair number of veggie options as well as a decent range of fish dishes too. There’s a home delivery service, but whilst the eat-in offer is on, I guess they won’t have much call for it! The staff are welcoming enough, and the restaurant is also pleasant enough… not bad!

Right well firstly this ain’t the place to go for top class cusine, but the food’s not bad and more importantly it’s pretty cheap and hence the kind of place I am more likely to frequent these days. For that reason its also popular with students in the area. The décor is pretty clean and attempts a modern sort of look, but I’m not too keen on the long line of tables which make the place look more long and narrow, and means your sat quite near your dining neighbours! Anyway the last time I went they were offering up 5 piece set meal for under a tenner, which was papadoms, a starter, you main dish, some rice and naan. Pretty good deal, nice staff and a decent enough choice. Also does take-away.
