Terra Nova

Terra Nova café is not the most glamourous café in the world but its a great place to duck (excuse the lake pun) into on a crisp winters day if you’re walking around the lake (In the summer there is also an outdoor area over looking the lake).
My partner and I last went there on a freezing January morning when there was a frosty mist in the air that had coated all the trees branches white and made your breath hang in the air.
We ran into the café for a respite and it was just the job. The warm interior was both welcoming in terms of temperature and atmosphere.
There is a wide and varied menu offering snacks to full blown meals including a lovely smelling curry. Having only eaten half an hour earlier we both ordered a hot chocolate and hot current bun — delicious!
