This is probably the best Tesco ever. If you thought the Tesco on Western Avenue was big, you should see this one. I think the actual food section is really only slightly bigger, but the clothing section upstairs is huge. If you like Tesco clothes, this is the best Tesco to visit. The Western Ave Tesco is having a bit of a makeover, and their clothes area certainly looks pretty fancy now, but they only occupy a small space. The clothes at Culverhouse Cross covers almost half of the second floor, and its nicely spread out so you can actually see the clothes on the hangers, rather than having to filter threw the rails for what’s hidden at the back. This is also the best Tesco to go to for bargains. In the home section, you can pick up end of the line cups and plates for as little as 10p, and many other items are super cheap while you wont find them in other Tesco stores. I got all the things I needed for my new flat here for less than £1 for each item. I have never been so excited about Tesco as I was walking around this store.

A large branch of the ever popular Tesco branch located at Culverhouse Cross close to M&S. I recently had my eyes tested here and had a fantastic service. Lots of tills so you never have to wait long. Plenty of parking spaces although they do get filled at peak times!

The biggest Tesco I’ve ever been in, this one’s even bigger than the newly-opened one in North Bristol. The Bristol one used to be my local, so what’s confusing about this one is that all the aisles are exactly the same– except it’s left-to-right flipped. It’s surprisingly confusing, especially if like me you tend to go into some kind of consumerist trance when you’re supermarket shopping. I like Tesco supermarkets, particularly this one. Yes they’re not the cheapest for everything but overall their prices work out very reasonably. They have a good range of stock on most food stuffs, they put the effort in in their larger supermarkets to stock more imported and exotic brands, and they sell decent ranges of things like electrical and clothing goods. Some of the electricals in particular are priced even cheaper than you’d find them online, which is a pleasant surprise. The café is useful as well. It sells plain but very cheap meals with no frills. I tend to eat here before doing the shopping rounds, because if I go round a supermarket while hungry, I buy far too much food. Decent parking, straightforward service, no problems.

This Tesco is close to other Culverhouse shops especially M&S. It has a café, photo shop and a very good clothes section. The grocery section seems to have some items I haven’t seen in other Cardiff Tescos. It can get very busy during the day, but equally is one of the quietest Tescos at night often with only the self-scan tills open.

Conveniently located on Culverhouse Cross roundabout this store has vastly improved since its recent refurbishment. It is a large Tesco Extra opening 24hours with 2 floors, food, household, bakery etc on the ground floor with clothing, DVD’s etc upstairs. It has a large carpark with disabled and family parking, trolleys conveniently located, customer service desk, Tesco Direct collection desk, café and petrol station. The usual good range of fresh and frozen foods and groceries. The clothing department is large with a very good selection and the sales are especially good. Wide aisles for ease of movement through the store and a good layout. I’ve always had good service at this store and the checkout assistants are very friendly and helpful.

Cardiff has a fair choice of Tesco’s stores to chose from, yet this store has all that you want. Its well set out — with upstairs providing the clothing and entertainment. The household items are on the left hand side as you come into the store. The other great thing about this store, is that you can collect items that are ordered from the Tesco catalogue. There is an area to sit down and wait for your item. The food range is great, and has everything that you want. The clothing range seems to be better in this store compared to others in Cardiff, especially in the sales!

This is a really good example of a super Tesco store. It has a large carpark making parking easy. There is easy access into the store and trolleys are always conveniently placed. There is a Tesco Direct counter and customer service desk immediately you enter the store. It has all the inhouse sections that you would expect — butchers, fishmongers, fruit and vegetables, bakery, deli counter, pharmacy. There is a large newagents and lots and lots of toys together with an electrical section. There is plenty of room between the isles. The shelves are always well stocked, even when you shop late at night. The store is open 24 hours. There are cashpoints outside and there is a petrol station with 24 hour pumps. There is a trolley escalator to the first floor which has a very large clothes section and a home entertainment section. This store is alongside Marks and Spencer so it is easy to visit both stores at the same time.

Huge branch of this store and a good place to shop. Like all large supermarkets, you’ll need plenty of time to get round and also to queue. Lots of choice — lovely fresh food in addition to all the tins and packets; clothes, bedding and towels, gifts, you name it! A basic but quite good café as well.
