The Fragrance Shop really reminds me of Duty Free at the airport, and as someone who finds airports a generally rather stressful(just get me up in the air!) and I don’t really like this obvious resemblance. Similarly to Duty Free, there isn’t much in the way of presentation; the general idea seems to be just fitting in as much as possible, and there isn’t much in the way of space. Secondly, despite this being a perfume speciality shop the staff really don’t know much about their product(I find the staff in Debenhams of all places, know far more about perfume). Finally the actual interior of this store is very Duty Free in style(white floors, a black sign) it’s almost as if they want us to recognise the likeness. There is one comparison with Duty Free though, which means that if you’re after perfume I’d actually recommend this place, and that is the rather low prices! Last time I was here I’d seen many of the exact same perfumes in nearby shops priced far higher. So take my advice. Make a visit and make a bargain!
