If you enjoy lukewarm food, slow service, a very limited menu & don’t ming queuing for ages to get to the food, this is for you. Only for hardcore Sunday lunch fans who like meat, vegetables & gravy no matter what day it is or what the temperature is like.

This is probably one of my favourite places to visit in the world. It’s an all you can eat carvery place that does great roast dinners with all the trimmings. The general atmosphere of the place is great, as well, with cosy seating areas and friendly staff I love going to this Toby Carvery. The food is really good quality, and it’s cheap as well, there’s often vouchers and deals on meals at this place so keep your eye out on the chance to save even more money on an ace meal. It might not be the poshest place, but for good, wholesome food at a cheap price, you can’t get much better.

This particular Toby Carvery is situated north of Cardiff centre near a petrol station, it is a bit out of the way, but I make my way here regularly to stuff myself full of the classic British roast dinner. I adore roast dinners, absolutely love them. Now normally they are confined to a Sunday but hell, not at Toby Carvery, you can grab yourself a stomach stuffing roast dinner any day of the week, at any time. I personally don’t know what could be better. You can get a selection of meats or the vegetarian option and then you absolutely load it with as many vegetables as you possibly can, it’s all part of the fun, the highest stack wins! They normally will have some cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and boiled potatoes, along with your green, orange and yellow veggies. Whenever I go here, I get very excited, when I leave, I’m groaning and a moaning that I’ll never eat again — there just aint no pleasing me.

Do you love a cheap deal with fabulous food and a cosy pub? Then this is the ideal pub; bar, restaurant and accommodation environment which has tasty food for all different types of food eat. You can have a lovely buffet meal for only £5 of all you can eat roast dinner; there is a vegetarian option as well. Or you could order two meals for just £7. The pub; bar, restaurant within the area called Rhiwbina in Cardiff does such meal deals. However, there are a few that do not do these offers such as; * TOBYCARVERYBADGERSMOUNT, * TOBYCARVERYBRENTWOOD, * TOBYCARVERYEDENPARK. This is a cozy environment for a restaurant and pub with a warm fire sometimes crackling away, but it is very popular and often busy. I have found that very often it is really hard to attract the staff who works their attention. But they are friendly, polite and helpful enough people when they do help you and are free to do so. I have had a lovely, yummy squash vegetable all filled with tasty roasted vegetables and I could have the buffet food without the meat. Which pleased me completely otherwise I was not happy. I have always found it hard going out to restaurants with family when they have meat and as much other items of food when I only choose to eat vegetables fish and eggs and a fair few other items. However, this restaurant for fills to pleasure all parties. So I do recommend it to all so long as you go during the hours that it is not so busy.

A very long established, popular carvery on a busy crossroads in Cardiff. They have a very wide selection of meat and vegetables, which by carvery standards are positively mouth-watering. The dining room is large, which unfortunately tends to make the place a little impersonal. Personally I wouldn’t really recommend the Inn Keepers Lodge for any special occasions, but I it would be quite satisfactory if you want a simple, traditional Sunday lunch with the family.

I like a good roast and I know that a lot of people out there who enjoy Toby Cavery. I like the idea of it but I find the food quite average really. My other half loves the place, mainly because he can have piles and piles of food and i’m quite happy to go along so I don’t have to cook a roast myself. There’s nothing particularly wrong with it, I just don’t like having to wait ages for a table and then stand in a queue to get my dinner– kinda reminds me of being back in school. I don;t know if other branches are always this busy so maybe i’ve just been unlucky when i’ve been here. It also annoys me that the car park is always full and I usually end up having to wait for someone to leave. I do like the selection of food but there’s nothing quite like freshly cooked, homemade food and this is bit too manufactured for me. I will be going back, and it’ll be pleasant enough. Cheap and Cheerful sounds about right.

I love Toby Carvery. This one is fairly local to me and I have decided that I just don’t go enough. It is a great thing to do on a Sunday as your one and only meal because if you go for a carvery, you will eat so much(if you’re like me) as you can pile on as much food as you like on your plate. For about £8 you can get a carvery meal which consists of a portion of meat and as much veg, potatos and trimmings as you like. You can chose between beef, gammon or Turkey and can even divide your portion of meat between two types of meat if you like. There is always a wide choice of veg and trimmings like yorkshire pudding and stuffing. The annoying thing about Toby Carvery is that you often have to wait ages for a table. It can be over an hour on a Sunday at peak time. This also means that when you get a table you have to queue again for the carvery. Despite the wait, it is well worth it. Great Sunday feast.
