I grew up around this area, and this cinema wasn’t developed until I started to move away from Kent. I don’t get to come here often, as I only visit when coming back to see my parents, if there happens to be something showing that we fancy seeing. However, I have to say this cinema is a real asset to the surrounding area, what was otherwise a very depressing and bleak part of Chatham is now a bustling hive of activity with surrounding shops and restaurants, providing jobs and entertainment for locals. It’s absolutely huge, with plenty of screens, so there are always lots of showings of films, making it easy to find a convenient time. For instance, I visited this weekend to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens and there was at least one showing of this(in 2D) an hour. You can purchase tickets at either the snack counter(which also provides many a deal for food and drink — nacho and hotdog combos, etc.) or the machines in the foyer. Since the queue for the snack counter snaked almost to the entrance, I opted to use the machines. Really simple to use, allowing you to select your film, then the time of showing you’d like, followed by where you want to sit. The only thing I’d suggest changing is the layout of the screen for seating, as it doesn’t actually state where the screen and where the back is, and I almost ended up selecting seats right in front of the screen! The machines don’t take cash either, so make sure you have your debit or credit card to hand. Inside, the screens are kept free of litter and are a good temperature too — not too hot or cold. You also have plenty of elbow and leg room. The screens are enormous and the surround sound really completes the effect. The toilets are kept in clean condition too, which earns this place bonus points. There’s also a film club once a month where for the price of your ticket you get to see an exclusive screening of a film, then head a couple of doors down to the Porters Bar afterwards for a free glass of wine and a chat about what you’ve watched. I did this once with a friend for the film ‘The Killer Inside Me’ and really enjoyed it. Well worth a visit if you find yourself in this part of Kent.

With only two cinemas in Medway there’s not a lot to choose from, but Odeon does offer a wide selection of films, free parking, and comfortable screens. The only downsides are expensive sweets and food(bring your own) and quite pricey tickets although certain offers like going on Tuesdays are quite cheap, in the morning/afternoon or of course on orange Wednesday’s.

this cinema is only the second cinema in the medway towns, and it is also the newest built. so the good points first: ample free parking. excepts orange wednesday’s text codes. multi-screens, showing the most recent films in 2d and 3d. clean inside and out. it’s located next to dickens world and the dockside outlet centre. now the bad points: very expensive entry tickets(when not using the«orange wednesday offer» — see below for details). very expensive refreshments area. terrible automated information /booking telephone line. some inexperienced staff, who don’t know much about customer service. on the whole you can have a good time out for a few hours there. and if you can smuggle in your own refreshments you’ll save a fortune! orange wednesdays: if you have access to an orange mobile phone, text film to 241 and then go there(or many other cinemas) on the next wednesday(with the mobile phone so you can show them the text code orange will send you), for the buy one entry ticket get one ticket free offer!!!

Its nice coming to this cinema, it has many screens so you can usually find a film that you want to watch. The seats are very comfortable and you can see the screen without having to stretch as no one sits in front of your sight. There is a place where you can buy popcorn adn drinks. The good thing is you book your seats online so you know you will get in.

Comfortable seats. A number iof screens showing different films. A range of snacks and drinks available including giant servings of popcorn of course. Toilets clean. There are a number of restaurants nearby. Shops in the Dockside Outlet Centre and the Dickens World attraction can make this part of a day out!

This is a very large cinema. They have several different screens that show all the best new films. They also have a number of things to eat and drink. but it is a bit expensive.

A very nice cinema, though not a great deal of variety in what it shows. I have also found that, compared to other local cinemas, it seems quite expensive. The snacks are also quite expensive but you can always share them a they are huge! The seats are comfortable and you can book online and choose seats before you go(though there is a booking fee).
