The Gym Chelmsford

For a £15.99 a month you really cant go wrong! Staff are very friendly and in the mornings everything is very clean and tidy, some the evening some of the equipment could do with a clean or some of the other members should was more!
My only slight gripe is how long it takes to get simple things like a lock on a shower door fixed also even after a 24 close for maintenance some bit of equipment still could do with tightening up, oiling. But you get that with all gyms. It would also be good if there was a second Olympic bar and some 40kg dumbbell as i can see this being the only reason i would change gyms in the future.
You still get 5 stars though as it is a nice gym to go to no matter what level of fitness you have.

Ok ticks all the boxes as a gym. Upstairs all cardio, and plenty of, with machine weights. Down stairs free weights with some machine weights. Showers good, but no space in changing room, with benches that you had at primary school, and lockers about big enough to fit your school books in.
Other advantage it’s open 24 hours, be warned if your an early bird and get Down about 6am it’s a bomb site.
They also have CCTV which they use to try and tell you that you haven’t put back a bit of equipment, when asked to prove it they can’t. I also asked for the footage, they said they couldn’t show it to me, but under the dpa (data protection act) if you request footage of yourself they have to show it to you within 40 days. Not sure if they have CCTV in the showers. Also no signs to say they are CCTV in operation.
When you ask for the manager to phone you he can’t be bothered and still hasn’t phoned.
