Fish and chips were great! It was confusing when we walked in though because no one helped us. I suppose it’s a pub, and you always order food at the bar? Not quite sure what the custom is. Bartender didn’t seem to want to help much.

This was the first place I went to eat when I arrived in Cheltenham. We came for brunch. I had the eggs benedict and was very satisfied with the size of my meal(and I’m usually a big eater), it was just simply delicious. I love the little cookies that comes with the tea, the service was great. The ambiance was very nice and cozy. They have a bar, big cozy couches, and small tables if you prefer it. Looks like a really cool place. Came from Miami, wasn’t really sure what to expect when I came into Cheltenham, but Copa was a great start!

Sat in the bar area yesterday in an oversized comfortable booth as my friend craved a plate of their nachos. As nachos go, these were pretty damn good. For neat people there is an option to get the(mild) salsa, sour cream and guac in separate bowls leaving only the liberal lashings of thoroughly melted(mature English) cheddar and jalapenos on the plate of nachos. We however like it messy and all mixed up in. Good chip to dip ratio. The price was pretty average for Cheltenham– I believe it was £6.00, but the portion size makes a very substantial lunch and a good size snack for 2 – 3 people. Quite the popular student venue I’m told but there was also a semi-formal business meeting going on a few booths away. You can definitely while away a few hours in this place either flicking through the Cheltonian on your own or hanging out/dining with friends. Plenty of booths, low stools, sofas and seats to go around in the bar and there is a separate dining area– good use of space. The bar area is very elegantly decorated. Quite a nice informal date place. The food is mostly standard pub fare, heavy on burgers and snacks with a few surprises thrown in. Copa is also family friendly(til 6, I believe, though don’t quote me on that). The bartender was very friendly and chatty. When my friend told him of our plans of tapas and cocktails he said he’d be happy to start our evening off with a bowl of pitted mixed olives– for free! I’ll definitely be back to enjoy the ambience.
