The Regent Arcade was one of the first shopping arcades in cheltenham. Its has a carpark(expensive) above the 2 floors of shops. Its is possible to access via an overhead gangway Cheltenham famous Cavenish House from the second floor of the arcade. The ressession does not seem to have had an impact on the arcade yet though a couple of shops have gone. Mothercare BHS are the biggest shops as well as Monsoon Thorntons with its chocolate Fountain On the second floor is a large TJMax The Famous Bubble Blowing Clock is worth taking your camara with you. Children and babies love it though can cause a hazard to unsuspecting shoppers as they trying to swerve round, dancing and clapping toddlers who are trying to catch bubbles oblivious to shoppers legs LOL.

Regent Arcade is one of the best shopping areas in Cheltenham. The indoor mall has an adjoining carpark — very handy on rainy days! — and many shops, for example The Body Shop, Lush, Thorntons, BHS, Mothercare, Hawkins Bazaar and Monsoon. It’s generally very well maintained, although at the time of reviewing there’s a lot of scaffolding which is a bit of an eyesore. No doubt the finished refurbishments will look better than ever, though. Of particular interest is the bubble blowing fish clock which fascinates adults and children alike! There are a number of snack bars here — Millie’s Cookies and Anne’s Pretzels are well worth a visit. There’s a great Santa’s grotto in the run up to Christmas.

Firstly, neither of Cheltenham’s two shopping centres(Beechwood and Regent arcades) are destinations in their own right. But both have their good points. Regent’s big draw is the Wishing Fish clock, which blows bubbles on the half hour. Hugely popular with small children and oddly mesmerising to adults. Has a slightly sexier mix of shops than the Beechwood(literally, in the case of Ann Summers). It’s Debenhams equivalent though is BhS. Not much good for food — the pretzel store smells delicious, and free samples indicate it is pretty good, but Butlers’ ‘restaurant’ upstairs is revolting. Scents are provided by Millie’s cookies at the High Street entrance, and Lush further down!
