Warm atmosphere, helpful staff, nice beer and good food at reasonable prices. They do specials as well and I had scampi, chips and peas and it very tasty. It does serve food most days now despite an old posting. I was passing through the town and pride myself on finding the best pubs to eat and drink in and had a look in all the others first.

Took my parents here for sunday lunch when they visited us in Chertsey in August. Never been in this pub before but we just fancied trying it. We all had the Sunday lunch, two pork bellys and one lamb. Both Were absolutely delicious! Sunday lunch at pubs can be very hit and miss and this was a hit hit hit. Meat lovely and tender, potatoes and veg beautifully cooked, perfectly seasoned and generous portions! Yum, we’ll be returning.

This place is a gem, alas no longer doing food during the week but the Sunday lunch is to die for! (and going by the lunch why oh why are you not offering lunch and dinner during the week!)
They have 4 real ales on offer all the time with most coming from local breweries. Perfect for the ale drinkers.
Oh yes music every week aswell!
