One of the branches of this family-​owned butchers located outside the city centre, we quite simply have not found better quality meat in Chester. As far as possible the firm sources its meat from local suppliers and can tell you where it comes from. The Christleton Road branch carries a reasonably wide range of cuts, and can bring in other cuts given a day or two’s notice. Not the place to go if you want gimmicky marinades or fancy preparations. Buy the basic ingredients and make the dish up yourself! One small gripe — they like their gammon salty so we always soak it overnight before cooking.
