I was recently dragged into this branch of McDonalds by two tired and hungry children looking for food, drink and a chance to sit down for a few minutes. Because of it’s city centre location this branch always seems to be busy so at least the food is usually freshly cooked. On the downside it means the staff are usually harrassed and often trying to serve several customers at the same time so you’ll need to double check they get your order right, in my case it was the free Olympics glass and wrist band that got missed off(I’m a sucker for a freebie!). The food was, as always, rubbish. My daughter’s chicken nuggets in particular didn’t taste like a chicken nugget should, I think it was the batter rather than the chicken that tasted a bit odd. There’s a reasonable amount of seating although some of this is upstairs but the staircase is quite steep and not exactly toddler friendly. The kids seemed happy enough with the experience but this isn’t somewhere I’d go if it was my choice.

It’s McDonalds. You want fast burgers then this is the place to go. You want flavour then walk on by. Mc’s is there for convenience and a quick feed, expect nowt else.

I try to avoid fast food restaurants when traveling outside the US, however I will say the modern décor and friendly staff in this McDonald’s surprised me.

Just like your usual McDonalds, recently refubishedwell maybe not so recently now actually! Lots of space to sit and eat upstairs and down and usually kept clean. As it is in the middle of Chester it does get very busy at meals times but the staff are prepaired and the wait usually isn’t too long. Open late as well for munchies after a night on the town!

The food was very low quality and was not very good tasting. The food was ridiculously over priced for the amount of food that was received. The food tastes like it was just reheated in the microwave. It was very easy to tell that the burgers were not fresh off the grill, there isn’t even fresh grease on the meat. I just purchased 3 double quarter pounders about 20 minutes ago. This is a fast food restaurant I don’t expect great perfect quality food but at least some food that tastes better than something I can just throw in the microwave for a much cheaper price. I payed 6 quid for 3 burgers the size of the palm of my hand?! That’s bad! I can just as easily go over to burger king and purchase a whopper meal which is alot nicer than getting 31 – 2 hours old reheated in the microwave double quarter pounders from McDonalds.

Love it or hate it, McDonalds do have great value meals and they are very popular worldwide. I couldn’t spend a whole month living off of them as someone tried to do on TV for an experiment, but they are good for the occasional treat or snack. Good to see that they have started doing some of the more healthy options on their menu. This place is fairly small, although they do have extra seating upstairs. But it does get packed out at weekends, especially in the summer when you get loads of kids in there trying to crowd around a small table with the one coke and seven straws routine.

First off, the day i go into any of the maccies in Chester and get a smile from a member of staff i may leave a tip thats how shocked i will be. Though after the refurb of the café style Mcdonalds of present day it has got alot better to acces when the store has been extremely busy like in summer holidays or Christmas. The price of the meals will always be of decent value although sometimes they seem to put the burger together must be a one handed art, becuase im speachless eash time i open my burger wrapper/box. To be honest mcDonalds Dru thru i find are alot better than teh restaurants if you can stand your car smelling of burgers and fries for a few hours.

I’ve been stopping off in this fast food restaurant since the golden years, and it really has kept up with the times. A couple of years back it had a big refurbishment and now boasts large comfortable chairs(if not a bit vibrant) and although really busy(due to being in the shopping ‘center’ of the town) there is usually a place to sit. These days there are plenty of options as to what to eat including a range of salads and wraps if you don’t feel like the unhealthy alternatives. Those who are into their money saving will be able to use plenty of vouchers here. Of course, being a fast food place there will be queuing and you wont be able to escape the hustle and bustle in the streets outside as much as you would do in an actual restaurant. If you just need to eat, now, then you cant go wrong with a wonder in here.

There’s a few McDonald’s outlets in Chester, all handy for wherever you may be at the time, but this one is my favourite. Don’t get me wrong, it’s by far the busiest so if you don’t like to queue or hunt for a table then try a different outlet across Chester instead. However, this outlet has a big screen TV and comfortable chairs for a more chilled-out section a the front, with it’s traditional chairs and tables elsewhere. If you can’t grab a chair downstairs then it’s more than likely that you will do so upstairs and this is where the public toilets are too. The only gripe about upstairs is that they don’t offer the extras such as ketchup so if you forget it, you have to go back down again. That said, as much as I usually hate stairs, these ones are OK and have that non-slippy surface to them which gives you confidence if you’re carrying bags and a tray too. The staff are always rushed since it’s so busy but they are helpful. If you’re left waiting for fish fingers for example, they will bring them to you when they’re ready rather than have you wait and they will search the whole place for you which I think is sweet considering it’s a big place. These days there’s always offers on, so a trip to McDonalds doesn’t seem as expensive as it used to seem in comparison to other services etc. Upstairs, there’s even an area for Children’s parties too and these days they do offer some healthy children’s options on the menu if you’re worried about health issues etc.
