Breakfast menu looked promising when we passed so we popped in for a birthday treat. Location great, service slow, and what was meant to be a full English breakfast treat was disappointing. Will give them another try sometime for a main meal when I pluck up the courage(or am desperate for something new

I enjoyed this place — it felt relaxing. We went on a Sunday evening after Christmas shopping. We were the only ones there thewhole time unfortunately, which is a shame as the downstairs area is cozy and nicely hidden away on up the stairs above the row of shops on Chester’s main drag. It’s sort of Turkish but not really — lots of standard bar/restaurant fayre. But not in a cheap, lazy way — a good solid choice. We had nachos for £5 with an optional chilli con carne topping for an extra £1 — huge and tasty. My partner had chicken and chorizo kebab — surprisingly neat and fresh, with little potatoes and mint yoghurt. This was a bit dearer, £9. Side of chips £2.50 but big. House wine I feel was a little overpriced at £13, but nice. The waitress was pleasent and efficient but, without wanting to be mean, seemed a little brisk. We were very full and tipsy on £30. I hope to come back as the menu seems cheap but good quality and the bar area with couches looks very welcoming but down to earth. Well worth a try, one of Chester’s better eating gaffs.

We booked late so could only get an early table-7pm. Although empty on arrival, the tables were still being set and service not forthcoming. There was no music until 8pm. Only after a waitress was prompted was our order taken, some 15 minutes after arriving. The starters arrived before the wine, the coffees before the desserts. If it wasn’t for one exceptional waitress I’d have said the service was an absolute disgrace. The food was good although not that authentic. I wouldn’t bother, Chester has better to offer just book in advance if a weekend.
