City Cycles

Oh my beautiful Specialized Langster Fixie… how I love you. I just wish you were with me now as I sit in Los Angeles, many many miles away. Mind you, this could be just wishful thinking… if I really did try to ride my Fixed Gear bike on ANY of L.A.‘s fine roads, I am certain that I would end up underneath the nearest pick-​up truck and then have the driver shoot me in the face for using a Communist form of transport.
Well, my lovely bike had to come from somewhere, and it came from City Cycles in Chichester. The quaint façade belies the broad range of both merchandise and KNOWLEDGE offered. When I was looking at some Fixed Gear bikes at City Cycles, the gentleman there was happy to talk with me about them… So much so, that he turned the browser in me directly into a BUYER. Good work!
Even though I was just looking at bikes while I was buying a part for an old mountain bike, I left the place with an extra bike in the back of the car, and I have loved the bike since.
The range of cycles offered at City Cycles in Chichester is very wide, and should have most people’s general needs catered for without problem, from kiddies bikes to more serious cycles. High end bikes were not on display there, but I am sure some of the better (and pricier) models would be available to order.
There were plenty of accessories on offer, from clever innovations to standard parts. Also, City Cycles has a decent looking repair shop, should you need it.
All in all, I have had good experiences at City Cycles — my only gripe is that they hate to bargain for cash… but hey… I suppose you can’t have EVERYTHING!
