This a english country pub dining experience, with a slight bit of fine dining to it — abit more than pub grub. Reasonable priced for the food as its really nice food and
Menu changes regually. Lots of strong tastes on menu such as goats cheese and wild mushrooms etc! Log burner, wooden table atmosphere… and is also nice for just bottle of vino with the partner!
This is one to try for a celebration nice 3 course meal.

Go to the Crown regularly when coming back from a trip on the M4 — it’s only a few hundred metres from J18.
Service can be a bit patchy and slow when they are busy but generally it’s really quite friendly and helpful without being OTT.
Food is a good standard. Nice fish & chips. Lovely calves liver. Venison pie was not so good. Moules were very good.
Good wine list with some interesting choices from time to time — nice Rioja, interesting Mexican (forget the name), nice Grillo.
Worth a try.
