Inspiring. Great events going on, some amazing homegrown food etc, and the café’s furnished in Indian furniture for the full hippy shop experience. Stayed over in a yurt which was fun, and the rest of the farm is even better than the buildings around the farm shop. Their cheese is a bit odd, but the meat is superb. It takes them ages to serve in the café, but somehow it doesn’t really matter.

Didn’t expect to find this near Ciren! Tucked away in the trees, it’s got a great well-stocked shop selling home-grown veg and ethical stuff, lots of Indian fabrics, and an organic café with a great veranda. A gem.

Abbey House Farm is an organic farm which lies on the edge of Cirencester. Families are well catered for with a farm trail and tractor rides to keep the younger people amused. If you book in advance you can experience a one day childrens cooking course.

A lovely place to visit at any time of the year. the food is all very fresh and there’s lots of choice — more than I’ve seen anywhere else. it can be expensive but the taste makes it worth it. there’s an Indian shop at the back of the store selling knick knacks, some clothes and jewellery and some soft furnishings. They have farm walks and lectures a good place for the kids. They also have a café which does tasty snacks and lunches and delicious cakes. You can sit outside in the summer.
