Aah, First visit to Clacton On Sea and first Toby’s Carvery experience!
Anywhere you can get a MASSIVE plate of Roast meat (beef, pork, lamb, gammon, turkey (including the turkey wing!) and then help yourself to Roast Veg & roast potatoes, lots of gravys, stuffing and then top up your veggies & potatoes as much as you like, all for only £9.95p on a sunday! is a MAJOR plus from me!!!
From Mon to Sat it’s only £5.95p!!!
Now, there are heaps of these around the UK, and after discussing with my work collegues, some are apparently better than others. This must have been a good one!
Average age of the Clientele was around 80 years. A friend (who’s grandparents lived there and so she went there regularly) described the place as ‘God’s waiting room’.
So, hopefully without offending anyone, I think that is a very good way to describe the whole place.
Seriously, if you fancy a massive roast with all the trimmmings, for a good price, I recommend sourcing out a Toby’s Carvery!
