I went to the Clapham Branch of the Premier laser clinic a few weeks ago for my first treatment of hair removal and so far I am really impressed. The clinic is small but very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful both at the consultation, where there was no pressure to sign up there and then and they were also helpful at my first session. I am afro caribbean and therefore have searched for a long time to find a good clinic at a reasonable price that uses the NDYAG laser for black skin tones. So far so good with no adverse effects and the treatment is working as expected. As said, I have only had one session but so far so good.

I have now finished my course with Premier Laser Clinic in Clapham(full bikini and underarm) and have mixed views. I am extremely pleased with the results. I have much better hair reduction than I had with IPL and the laser is nowhere near as painful. The equipment all seems super-new and everything is sparkling clean/hygienic. I also think that premier laser clinic is very competitively priced and the technicians are all very well trained. My gripes were with the clinic administration. When I signed up for the course I was told that«full bikini» also included the back(I am sure you know what I mean). After about 4 sessions I was told that this was extra and not covered in the course I had paid for, and the technician showed me a brochure that had an extra price for«the back». But when I got home I checked the brochure I got when I signed up that bit seems to have been added as an extra since I signed up(i.e. it wasn’t in the brochure I had). I was never charged for the extra but I didn’t like having to explain at each session that this should be included. I really felt like I was asking for something for free(which I wasn’t). As I signed up in the couple of weeks after this clinic opened, I also got a 7th session for free instead of the usual 6 sessions in a course. However I really didn’t need the last bikini treatment(there is virtually no hair left) and the technician on my last underarm treatment told me that I could use it for an 8th underarm treatment and they would also do a bikini touch up if I had any regrowth. At my last session, however, I was told that I had nothing left out of my course(not even the 7th bikini). They actually told me I needed to bring in proof that I had been given 7 sessions, otherwise I would have to pay! I eventually persuaded them to do the treatment I had been promised, but only after getting quite angry. The experience of having been told I had to bring in proof left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I suspect that the technician who promised the free bikini touch up wasn’t really allowed to, but the fact that they didn’t even seem to think I had a 7th session included shows that they aren’t particularly well organised. So in summary, I think their technology and training is top notch, and the results excellent, but customer service let them down. I am thinking about getting my lower legs done somewhere, and am in two minds about whether to go back to this clinic. If you do use them, make sure you keep receipts etc so you can prove what you have paid for.

Had my first test patch today. It wasn’t as painful as I’d imagined, but it wasn’t exactly fun either. The technician who carried out the consultancy was lovely. She explained the treatments, answered my concerns and explained the packages & I didn’t feel under pressure to sign up then and there. I’ve booked up to have brazillian, underarms and a tiny touch up on a couple of other areas over 6 sessions for £680. The packages work out alot less expensive than the individual treatments and they’re very good about swapping similar priced treatments in/out to suit you. Was happy with the test results, no pain or discomfort and the cooling gel worked wonders, lets see how I get on with the more delicate areas. Thanks for making me feel relaxed and at ease.
