Though quite unspectacular from the outside, the interior is a beautiful and charming home. Charlie Brown’s is now a guest house owned by a lovely couple(Jane and Jonathon) and their three dogs(a black Labrador, a black Afghan and Bertie the Basset Hound), also lovely. The house has three rooms available all decorated in a tasteful, stylish and individually schemed way. A four-poster bed/family room, the Green room(not too green) and the Mulberry room(not too mulberry). All the rooms, as is the rest of the house, have a blend of fine contemporary and antique furnishings mixed with the original oak beams which feature prominently throughout the house as well as the uneven and slanted floors, corridors and ceilings. The house itself dates back largely to the 15th century(some more recent, some older). Of course, breakfast is offered but as there are only three rooms to cater for, each has their own personal breakfast in the guest lounge, prepared and cooked to your requirements and timing. We stayed in the Mulberry room and it was quite marvellous! En suite and tea and coffee making facilities too! Car parking is available as is use of the garden. Definitely a place I’d like to stay at again. TTFN, Ian
