Rating des Ortes: 4 Hampton in Arden, United Kingdom
Surprised I haven’t already written a review having been here a few times for dinner, however here it goes! My understanding is that this restaurant has been around for a number of years, and this can only be due to their testament of excellent food. I popped in here one Thursday evening, having already booked a table and letting them know that I had a tastecard. We were swiftly shown to our table, despite being about 10 minutes early. We ordered our drinks and had a couple of poppadoms with the usual condiments to start. I fancied having something different instead of my usual predictable chicken tikka masala main, and decided on a chicken korma. I shared a garlic nann and rice with my partner, which means I don’t overload or waste food if I was to have my own rice and nann. The main dishes were placed on a hot plate. I was so pleased that I ordered the chicken korma — creamy in consistency, and coconutty in flavour I was in heaven! The food here really is excellent, and I throughly enjoyed my meal. The service is good, although one particular waiter never looks happy which dampens the service a little. If you fancy a takeaway they do deliveries too, the phone was pretty much ringing off the hook when we were there! Ratings for my experience overall are: Food — 10⁄10 Service — 8⁄10 Location — 8⁄10 Ambience — 8⁄10 Lightening — 6⁄10 — dimmer lightening would be better
