This is a nice realaxed pub with good reasonable priced food. £3.50 for cavery during the week but about £6 for the same food on a sunday. It is good for children as they do child sized portions and have an outside play area for when it is good weather. The only bad point i could say is that if you have a family with children they no longer have a fun factory as it was closed down when took over which was a shame. we find it a very enjoyable and plesent experience visting this pub and go for dinner there regulary. It is always busy and some times there is a wait but thats because people find it good value for money.

If you wan’t a reasonably priced and nice meal you can’t go wrong with this restaurant. You can get a carvery meal from monday to friday for £3.50.A choice of gammon, beef or turkey was on offer when I visited. There is also a vegetarian option although this is more expensive.

A great Carvery, 3 choice of meats, gammon, turkey and beef or a mix of 2 I had, stuffing, yorkshire, potatoes 2 sorts inc roast, and about 4 other vegs, some fresh and frozen, loads of compliments and gravy, for £3.50, drinks are reasonable, I had elderflower with raspberry £1, and puddings are upto £2.00 there is other choices for main menu. yes a few queues sometimes, but me and my daughter like it.

This is a really good place for a cheap meal. It’s a very family friendly pub that does a Carvery for only £3.50 (i think it’s a bit more on Sundays). The pub a bright and airy and they have good family facilites — Fun Factory and childrens menu and a plentiful suplly of high chairs. Sometimes there is a large queue for the bar and the carvery but the staff always seem pleasant and ready to help of they can. I just think for this price you just can’t argue. Definately not the place for romance but great for a lazy week day meal if you just can’t be bothered to cook!

This cheap and cheerful family restaurant is clean and offers good, well priced meals for all the family. The menu and ambiance are geared towards the children, with a good childrens menu and a Fun Factory for them to play in.
The menu for adults is extensive and there is a good selection of alcoholic and non-​alcoholic drinks available.
The staff are always friendly and we have never waited longer than the usual time for meals, even when busy.
If you fancy good, basic food and a drink, don’t discount this place!

This is a good pub to take children to and to have a regular meal at good prices. We went with twenty quid and cam home with the best part of a tenner having had two meals and four drinks!
The garden outside the front of the pub is nice when sun is shing but back garden is quites sheltered so does not get as warm.
Staff are as expected for this kind of pub and we were slighlty dissapointed when we found a quiet corner for some privacy and then the staff who were on their lunch cam and joined us and were quite loud.
As i said good for a simple tea time meal — not for special occassions.
