I had to move away from Derby to take a job elsewhere Hall & Benson offered a ‘free’ placement service to get a tenant.
One year on: the original tenancy agreement has expired, our tenant doesn’t like dealing with Hall & Benson staff as he finds them rude and arrogant, I have to chase the agent every month for the rent they have collected.
I told Hall & Benson that I would be managing the let myself as I wasn’t happy with them. I got a really nasty email by reply telling me that I have to give 3 months notice, and they want a ‘placement fee’ equiv. to 1 months rent or they will take legal action.
I am not happy with Hall & Benson, my Tenant doesn’t like them. I can’t see any good reason to recommend this company for residential lettings.
