Dinner last night at the Stephan Langton was lovely. The steak was juicy and came with a divine blue cheese sauce (mouth watering just thinking about it). the place has just had a refurb, dinning room is now light and airy but still has that cosy feeling you want from a country pub.

We visited this pub for the first time in years last Sunday and the pub was very busy as you’d expect with the good weather. Considering we hadn’t booked and the pub was pretty much full we were pleasantly surprised to hear that the wait for food was only 15mins. We both ordered the chilli burger and chips and it was delicious and a very good sized portion. Perfect! The atmosphere was buzzing with alot of people in and out who all seemed to be regulars. The only dissappointment were the toilets, they seemed to have been neglected for quite some time and could do with a lick of paint. All in all though a very nice experience and we will be coming back again very soon.
Great food — Friendly Staff — Well organised owner — a rare find.

Beautiful pub. Clean and well maintained. Well served real ales. Good/Very good food. Great to use as part of a walk/bike ride on the Leith Hill sections of the North Downs. Not 100% sure about the friendliness of the staff.
