I used to love this place I would have ordered 2⁄3 times a week, until they started serving really poor portions I counted 5 very small pieces of chicken a few times singing less than half a chicken fillet not good very sad when I used to love this place.

I’m not a particular fan of Indian food, but I’ve recently discovered this place and it’s really good. I still think I’d rather have a Chinese takeaway, but the chicken korma out of here is hard to beat. I was about to order the chicken korma with pilau rice, when I discovered that they do a ‘meal for one’. No-one else was hungry, but I decided I was better off ordering the meal for one anyway. Anyone who’s familiar with the Lucky Star Chinese(or with my review of it) will know that terms like ‘set meal for one’ are very misleading, as they’ll easily feed two people, and the meal I ordered from here fed three of us(funny how no-one was hungry until the food arrived). The good thing about the ‘set meal for one’ from here is that it’s less restrictive than any of the other set meals. You can have any starter and any main dish from the menu. There’s an excellent menu that includes tandoori chicken, tikka masala, korma, rogan josh, etc. I got the onion bhagee starter, chicken korma for the main, and it came with chips, rice, nan bread, poppadom and sauce — all for a tenner. It was a feast, and the food was really tasty, with the korma having a nice creamy texture to it. For those who aren’t too fond of Indian food, you can also get pizzas, burgers, and kebabs from here. Although I think anytime I lift the phone to phone this place it’ll be to sample a new dish with the ‘set meal for one’.
