staff are friendly and helpful and the bar is popular with locals from the villiage which gives it a nice feel. the rooms are dated but clean, its a shame the owners cant give this place a makeover it could be an amazing place. an old manor house in a rural location with beautiful country gardens. The hotel offer meals in the bar or resaurant and the food is pub grub. On sundays they offer a carvery in a canteen style room at the back of the hotel. It really is like school not hotel but the food is reasonable and to feed 10 people together with no washing up for me is always welcome
