Ah, I’m not a train spotter (yet) but I have a thingy for trains! I simply cannot resist checking train journeys now and then. Birmingham has three main stations, New Street, Snow Hill and Moor Street and it’s from this last one that is possible to discover really interesting destinies around the Midlands.
The Lakes railway Station is certainly one of those exciting routes! Get the train for Moor Street station to Stratford Upon Avon is the first step. The second one is to know that The Lakes station is a required stop, which means the conductor is only stop there if you ask him for doing this. The same at the journey back! Make yourself visible at the platform or the train will not stop at this station!
Even if this historical station is considered a tourist spot itself, there are much more to be seen in this area. So once you reach your destiny, starting exploring the area. An excellent option to start with are The Earlswood Lakes and the local pubs nearby it!
