Been to Tony Macs loads of times and never reviewed it! The restaurant is stylish with a lovely interior, with upstairs and downstairs seating. The staff are friendly and helpful and the menu is varied. They offer pre-theatre until 9.30 which is a fantastic deal! They also offer a Presto menu at lunchtime which has a great selection at only £4.95. As we stay locally we often takeaway from here. They don’t deliver so food has to be collected, which is fine. They offer a midweek deal of any pizza and pasta for £11.95 which we often get and feeds 2 of us easily! Tonight we ventured out and added a portion of Arancini which were among some of the best I’ve ever tried! Their pizza bases are crispy and authentic and their pastas are generous and tasty! What’s not to like! I’ve given 5 stars as I really have no complaints about Tony Macaroni, it’s one of the few chains I absolutely love and I’m so glad it’s my ‘local’.

I came here on a work’s(very late) Christmas lunch meal in January 2013. As ever we didn’t go for the bargainous £4.99/£5.99 lunch deal but the standard 2 course £10.99 meal. The starter was very tasty, I went for an aubergine lasagna sort of thing. However the dish that stole the show was the Chip Pizza. Pizza and chips is a very common combination in the west of Scotland, however it’s usually served separately. You’d get a pizza(probably deep-fried) and a portion of chips to one side. Not here. Here you can get a pizza with chips actually BAKED into the top along with some very tasty Italian sausage. I’ve attached the photo for reference. Overall it’s a decent Italian, very good for a chain — but I’d always go for independently owned restaurants if I were choosing myself.
