Excellent wood fired pizza that is far less calorific than equivalent pizzas. You get a more interesting range of toppings including stuff like artichoke. If you live on the Southside, a far better option than Dominos or Pizza Hut.

Yet another trip for post work Friday pizza and I was again served 6 slices of perfection. I plumped for the ham special(ham, artichoke, olives & rocket). I swear it was awesome! I also went for one of the breads rosemary and rock salt pizza bread, which by the time I got round to I was stuffed so didn’t really enjoy, but you can’t fault the establishment for my own gluttony.

CC’s are a bit of a south side institution, being the first Glasgow takeaway to cook with a woodfired oven and racking up loads of awards for their pizza. We decided to phone for a Friday night pizza delivery, but upon hearing that the delivery time was between an hour to an hour & half, I decided to just drive down to collect them. We ordered three 12″ inch pizzas for four people — way too much pizza, but lots left for lunch the next day. We went for the CC recommendations: the Ian Brown pizza with tomato sauce, goats cheese, caramelised red onions, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh red onion, Parma ham and rocket; the rib-eye steak with tomato sauce, mozzarella, Scottish rib-eye steak, wood-fired roast peppers and mushrooms, finished with a drizzle of horseradish sauce or sour cream and chorizo with tomato sauce, buffalo mozzarella and chorizo, with a drizzle of olive oil, rocket and shaves of Parmesan. I popped in to collect the pizzas and they were ready to go as soon as I walked in. We dived into the pizza as soon as I got home and I was really impressed by the Ian Brown pizza which had a good amount of topping and great flavour — the sweetness of the caramelised red onion was lovely. The chorizo pizza was also delicious and in fact, was even better the next day when I ate it cold(I love cold pizza). The rib eye steak pizza however was a bit of a disappointment, and why this is getting 4 stars rather than 5 — for a premium priced pizza I thought the steak lost all tenderness being cooked on a pizza and could have really been any cut of meat. I also thought the chorizo pizza was a little stingy on the Parmesan. Overall, a good pizza and I liked the deal of getting a free bottle of wine. We wouldn’t probably get that much pizza again though as we definitely over-ordered! Tip: If you order more than £35 worth of pizza you get 6 free beers(Peroni or Budweiser) or a bottle of wine.

This is quite possibly the best pizza I have had outside of Rome! On a whim I ordered a post interview/pre night shift treat and I was not disappointed! I opted for the 12″ mozzarella pizza with BBQ chicken, my colleague had chorizo, rocket and chilli oil… and not a slice was left. The base was perfect, nice and thin but still soft and the topping were tasty and in good measure. I noticed that if you also spend over £35 you get 6 free beers… so that’s about all the convincing I need !#sold The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is the waiting time… although it was worth the wait!

As Jim Carey once said«I CAN’T LIEEEEEE» and so here goes, the place I wanted to love so much, which turned out to be a monumental disappointment and for this reason, I will speak the truth and nothing but the truth. I don’t like to blow my own trumpet nor do I like the smell of my own farts, however, I do think I know what an authentic pizza looks like. After all I have eaten literally thousands off them(I am a self confessed pizzaholic). One of the most important things about making a good pizza is having a wood fired oven. It really does add so much flavour to the pizza, so when I heard these guys had the real deal, I was salivating at the prospect of getting my hands on my own slice of Napoli. After paying the tenner or so for my Margherita with peperoni and aubergine I was instantly appalled by the appearance of my pizza. Not very appetising to say the least(please see photie for evidence). First of all it was dusted in polenta, giving it that Dominoes /Papa Johns style texture, my aubergine was cut up in cubes and put on top RAW meaning I had uncooked aubergine(the worst uncooked veggie ever) and it was absolutely swimming in cheese. Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, does everyone have to over-cheese their pizza, AAArrrrggghhhh!!! Its so annoying. Anyway, deep breaths, I can do this, stay calm now… just get to the end of the review and have a wee lie down… The fact of the matter is, less is actually more, you don’t need half a block of cheese to make a pizza taste good. It just adds an extra 500cal to the meal and leaves me bloated as hell that’s all. Good quality ingredients and good olive oil, that is what you need. Right, I think you get the picture and I’ve probably said enough. The reasons there are no photos of pizza on their website should have been a warning. Rant over, buona notte…

Wow real wood fired pizza in the southside of Glasgow! Why doesn’t the place have more reviews? Oh yeah, it’s in the southside d’oh! This place makes seriously good pizza, their pizzaola(pizza chef) was trained in Naples(or something) and it tells. A purpose built giant wood-fired stove in the middle of the shop gives the thin and super tasty pizzas an authentic bite. This is probably the most authentic pizza I’ve had in Glasgow. If you like pizza get your arse here.

Been back again tonight. In addition to all the things I said before. They have an outside seating area. They also now have an alcohol lisence. The new menu is a bit more expensive around 9 — 12 for a 12″ pizza. The pizza is still as good. They now have a healthy living plus award, which I assume is better than a regular award. And they deliver as far as East Kilbride and Barrhead.

Just had a CRACKING good pizza tonight — ham, artichoke, olives and rocket. It was superb. Also had the garlic pizza bread with Parma ham which is only £2.50 and worth every bean. Highly recommended.
