We have visited a few times for breakfast, which is great value and always very tasty and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict.
You can certainly tell that the staff here really care about food.
I appreciate the lack of card machine may be a slight annoyance, but a typical meal for two is around £20, so having the cash seems reasonable to me.
Overall, a good experience.

Saw this travelling through monton frequently where I used to live. Always seemed interesting and worth a go so on mine and Claire I. moving out day we treated ourselves to a late lunch. The staff were friendly and explained everything to us and guided us to the seating upstairs. I saw a sign earlier in the week about gluten free bread but they had none left unfortunately. I ordered the deli platter and got to pick which cold cuts I would have with it all with chutneys and fresh green salad. All very tasty and although a little expensive side I understand somewhat being a new an independent business trying to cover costs in the current economic climate. They don’t take cards either which is a bit of nuisance but there is a tesco cash point right across the road.
