Wonderful café along the Royal Mile. The owner could not be sweeter. I am gluten intolerant and he got that completely. Warm and welcoming place to rest and refresh. The baked potato and coffee were great! I recommend this place when you visit Edinburgh, Scotland.

Café Vino looks like the brick and mortar embodiment of «Starry Night,» with deep, midnight blue ceilings and bright windows that let the light shine in. I had the pleasure of popping in on a recent trip to Edinburgh on a brisk, spring day. I grabbed a hot tea and a pastry and took a seat. The pastry wasn’t mind-blowing and the tea was just tea, but the friendliness of the owner, combined with the ambiance of the café, just made me want to stay awhile. Even though I was on vacation, I almost missed work. lol! It’s the type of place that makes you just want to set up shop for the day with your laptop and get cracking. With a name like«Café Vino,» you know what wine is an option as well, so if your work requires a stiffer drink than coffee or tea, that’s an option too. I do plan on getting back to Edinburgh again. Honestly, I sort of fell in love with the entire city. For all of you reading this and lucky enough to live in town, try and make it a point to check out Café Vino, even if it’s just to grab a tea to go. It’s definitely a cute little café worthy of a trip.
