Cornerstone café is a counter-service café serving home cooked, healthy, vegetarian food as well as a range of drinks and cakes. The staff(most of whom are volunteers) are generally friendly although at times the service can be quite slow — there are often several members of staff floating about clearing tables and generally helping out, one wonders whether they might be better placed helping to serve customers when the queue is out of the door(which is often is). However, the atmosphere is relaxed and the décor is tasteful — the café is in the basement of the church and so the original stonework is visible in places, which gives it a rustic, back-to-nature sort of a feel. I enjoy visiting Cornerstone café when I get the chance, but rarely go for lunch as the hours in which they serve lunch are quite limited(ending around 2pm) and often the main dishes have run out before the end of the lunch service. Worth a visit for the atmosphere, though.
