Why so little reviews for this restaurant? I have to admit I wasn’t aware of them until last Saturday when we decided upon a meal to break up our board gaming marathon. This was just across the road. They have a vast selection of dim sums which was our main attraction and reason for going here. It was busy but we managed to get a nice large table for 4. They provided us with a lot of options and menus. We chose several dim sums each and 2 of us took ½ a shredded Peking duck. I took a Beef Broth. The portions are big and very suitable for sharing. The Jasmine Tea is only £1 per pot, not to be missed. I found the service attentive, friendly and very helpful. Lovely bunch of people, they deserve all the credit for a good meal!

Pretty disappointed. My chicken curry and egg fried rice was weak. Service was very slow too.

It’s a clean restaurant. The food was tasty and the waiter was very very nice. I will give it 80 out of 100.

A new addition to Dalry’s already packed eating options, I popped into Feast at the weekend for a spot of dinner. With so many options along this stretch already I was keen to see what the restaurant offered for us hungry punters. I was not disappointed. In time-honoured British tradition, I opted for a set menu(B) and got the opportunity to try a range of dishes: — Appetizer plate complete with sticky ribs, prawn toast, chicken satay, and spring rolls. — Crispy shredded duck with plum sauce and pancakes — Special fried rice — Sweet and sour battered prawns — Chicken in black bean sauce — Beef in ginger and something else I can’t quite remember… There was a lot of food to eat. And it was all very tasty and enjoyable. A special mention for the duck, which was seriously yum. The only downside to here is that the food is quite pricey. A main course is appoximately £10 without rice or sides, so it can quickly add up. The set menu above was £23 per person, also quite expensive. However, the food was really good and service very friendly too. Took home the leftovers from the meal and had it for dinner the next day, so I suppose the price isn’t too shabby when you get two feeds out of it! :)

Whilst walking passed, I noticed that a new Chinese restaurant has opened in that area of Haymarket. From outside, the restaurant looks very pricey and posh and it does not disappoint inside. The opening was 2 days ago and you can still feel the softness of the carpet when entering the premises. Not sure if having a carpet in a restaurant is a normal thing, but it looks nice and welcoming. I did not have time to sit in, so I ordered a take away which costed me £9.50 for a Hot and Sour Soup and a Chicken Fried Rice. They do not accept credit cards below £10, so best you have cash ready. I am getting the feeling they charge you the same amount as they would when sitting in! The Hot and Sour Soup was excellent and had the right amount of ingredients(shrimps etc) as well as spices. The rice was well cooked, but just right. The staff was very friendly and polite. The restaurant also offers a variety of Fried Dim Sum, Steamed Dumplings, Rice in Pot, Cheung Fun, Congee and BBQ Dishes. Overall I was very satisfied with the food and the interior and I will definitely be back. I only gave 4* at the moment as I have not yet eaten there, but will do, soon. Note: Over the weekend the restaurant can be very busy and preparing the food will take time. Best you call beforehand and collect thereafter, if you decide on take away.
