This is a fabulous wee shop. A wee spot of tranquility in a busy city. when you come through the door you leave the noisy stressful world behind. It’s like there’s a spell of happiness inside. The staff are wonderful, knowledgeable and great to speak to each time you visit. They take the time to understand what you’d like and inform you fully of the origins and detail behind anything you choose. They always have the perfect item from gemstones to music, books, incense sticks and very individual items of clothing — no chain store stuff on sale here. No pressure to spend and you feel that your custom is truly valued whatever your purse strings… exceptional service not often seen nowadays.

I have been shopping at Fool for a number of years now and it is the best little shop in Edinburgh! The staff are so helpful and friendly, they never make you feel silly when asking simple questions about the various crystals and stones etc as they understand that not everyone is as knowledgeable as they are. The husband of the lady who runs the shop recently died, he was so kind and friendly too and is still missed by his many customers. The shop has some fantastic clothing, mostly original pieces and yes, they have larger sizes too. There are lots of beautiful stones, crystals, oils, books, charms, ornaments and scarves etc as well as cards for you to browse and buy. When you step inside, you immediately sense a calmness and tranquillity, it’s like you stepped into another world, a more peaceful one and you just don’t want to leave! If you have never been to this little shop then you are missing out on a wonderful experience

They have lots of very interesting things. Great choice of incense and oils. Would strongly recommend this shop.

This appeals to someone who prefers their heart to destructive consumerism. The productive ownership also find time to run a care home, and treat customers as humans too.
The range of goods suits a person with a spiritual mind, and mixes local witchcraft with the goddess Isis and many more, such as crystals, fairies and dragons. Books and cards as well are accompanied by mostly female clothing which sends a different message. Pentagrams round the kneck or on the wall.
The family suffered a bereavement recently. The person graced the Earth and there will be a hole. I told the person their opinion was more valued than many trained therapists.
The shop is really a haven and gentleness is permitted here. Like a lot of shops like this, I wish they had beds so you could move in…

A nice little shop, perfect from browsing around, but doesn’t seem to really sell anything I would buy.
Clothes, trinkets, gemstones and gifts fill the small store, and the staff are absolutely lovely and friendly. I can’t imagine that they get many visitors, so they treat every customer like a friend, or it seemed that way to me anyway!
Everything is inexpensive, pretty and nicely presented, but there is something missing that I can’t put my finger on.

I love this shop it has so many lovely little finds.
Beautiful clothes.
But more importantly lovely wide range of gemstones.
What even better than that Staff that know there stuff about gemstone.
They almost seem to have something nice on offer to.
One of the best places to go for gift ideas too.

A friendly shop, with good conversation, interesting gift items and beautiful clothing, plus no pressure to buy.
