The name«Laughdance:The Experiment» is a wonderfully accurate description of the show that it is associated with. There is laughter, there is dancing, and I am delighted to say that this is definitely one of my favourite fringe shows this year! And what’s more, it’s free; bonus: D If you like standup comedy or dance, or even better BOTH, then this is the perfect show for you. Lively, highly entertaining and quirky, the concept behind this show is fresh and unique. Despite the lack of reviews or publicity due to tonight being opening night the venue practically reached full capacity which was outstanding. Cheeky host Stu kept the audience amused with his dance moves in-between sets from his three guest comedians, who all provided fantastic crowd pleasing performances in their own very individual styles. But what made this show really stand out as something special were the 4 talented dancers who performed alongside the comedians, drawing laughs from the crowd and adding to the fun, silly atmosphere. With acrobatics, not so subtle innuendos, improvised dance and audience participation, the guys and girls at laughdance gave their delighted audience a daft and playful night full of hilarity. The best bit is that with different combinations of comedians playing each night, no two shows are exactly the same, meaning you can go again and again! Very enjoyable evening, and a cracking effort from all performers; 5 stars!
