Giving 4 stars to a chemist is rather odd, but it’s all relative isn’t it? The store itself isn’t stock particularly full, it’s small but in a great location. What really swings it for me is the staff, and in particular the pharmacist. In the past 6 weeks I’ve been blighted with quite a few random things, from tonsil-death to oh-my-god-my-arm-is-going-to-fall-off(no joke). As it’s close to where I usually am, I’ve popped in here each time. Whether I’m buying something over-the-counter from the shop staff, or speaking directly to the pharmacist, the staff are always really friendly, resassuring and will give you as much time as you need. Which is exactly what you need when you think your arm is actually going to fall off or something similar. Special props for the pharmacist here. She took as much time as I needed to explain the problem I had, the medicine it could need, and when I was um’ing and er’ing about what to do she didn’t rush me or seem annoyed in anyway. Pharmacists usually have a smile on their face, but in our NHS nation it’s really nice to sometimes be treated like a person rather than a 10 minute appointment time that needs to be rushed through. I think I prefer this pharmacist to my actual doctor’s surgery.
